What Kota Stone actually costs per square foot in 2026 — by finish, thickness and order size, quoted directly by the manufacturer.
Most Kota Stone price lists online come from traders quoting someone else's stone. We quarry the block at Ralayati, saw and calibrate it in our own plant in Jhalawar, and dispatch it ourselves — so the numbers below are manufacturer rates, not resale rates.
Ranges are ex-plant, per square foot, in Indian rupees, and reflect typical project quantities. Freight, loading, taxes and site laying are extra. Rates move with diesel, block availability and season — treat this as a planning guide and ask us for a firm quote against your size schedule.

Thicker sections (40mm and 50mm) add roughly 25–60% over the 20–25mm rate for the same finish.
What actually drives the price
Thickness
A 50mm slab uses roughly twice the block volume of a 25mm tile, so thickness is the single largest line item in any Kota Stone price. Specify the thinnest section the structure allows.
Finish
Every extra machine pass — calibration, honing, polishing, blasting — adds cost. Natural finish is the cheapest, designer machined tiles the dearest.
Size and calibration
Random sizes are cheapest; fixed sizes and calibrated thickness cost more per square foot but cut site wastage, which usually leaves the delivered cost lower.
Order volume
Rates step down at full-truck and full-container quantities because handling and freight are shared across more square feet.
Freight and destination
Stone is heavy. Freight from Jhalawar can add ₹4–₹15 per square foot depending on the city, and more for export containers.
Grade and shade
Tight-grained, evenly shaded blocks are a smaller share of quarry output and carry a premium, especially for polished work.

What is the price of Kota stone per square foot?
Ex-plant rates typically run from about ₹25 per square foot for natural finish 20mm stone to ₹150 per square foot for designer machined tiles. Most residential flooring specifications land between ₹40 and ₹70 per square foot before freight and laying.
Why do Kota stone prices vary so much between suppliers?
Traders buy at quarry rates and resell, so the same stone can carry two or three margins by the time it reaches site. We quarry, process and dispatch ourselves, so a quote from us is a manufacturer rate.
What does the quoted rate include?
Our rates are quoted ex-plant per square foot unless stated otherwise. We list freight and loading separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
What is the laying cost on top of the material?
Laying, bedding mortar and grinding or polishing on site are usually another ₹30 to ₹60 per square foot in India depending on the city and the finish, and are paid to your contractor, not to us.
Do you have a minimum order?
We supply from part-truck loads upward and quote best rates at full-truck or container volumes. Send us your size schedule and we will confirm the applicable slab.
