Honed Finish Kota Stone
Honed Kota Stone is ground flat and then stopped short of gloss, leaving a smooth matte surface that keeps the stone's natural colour. It is the default specification for Indian interiors — quiet underfoot, easy to mop, and far less slippery than a mirror polish.

How we make it
- 01
Blocks are lifted from our own quarries at Ralayati and graded for density and shade before they enter the plant.

Slabs are gang-sawn, then calibrated so thickness stays within tolerance across the whole batch.

The honed finish treatment is applied on dedicated machinery, then every piece is edge-trimmed and inspected.

Pieces are shade-sorted, wrapped and crated for road or container dispatch.

Indoor flooring, corridors, staircases, offices and retail floors.
Where not to use it
Pool surrounds and open terraces, where a textured finish grips better when wet.
Care and maintenance
Sweep loose grit regularly and clean with a pH-neutral floor cleaner. Avoid acidic descalers, which etch limestone.

Common questions
Is Honed Finish Kota Stone suitable for outdoor use?
It depends on the slip rating of the finish. Textured finishes such as natural, brushed, sandblasted and shot-blasted are the safest outdoors; high-gloss finishes should stay indoors.
What thicknesses are available?
20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm as standard, plus custom thickness on project orders.
Do you ship outside Rajasthan?
Yes. We dispatch by road across India and by container for export, direct from our plant in Jhalawar.
