Mirror Polish Kota Stone
Polished Kota Stone is taken through successive abrasive grits until the surface reflects light like glass. The polish deepens the blue-grey tone dramatically and is the finish most people picture when they search for polished Kota texture. It is a premium interior surface and needs to stay dry to stay safe.

Why specify this finish
- — Consistent thickness across the batch, so laying is faster and wastage drops
- — Shade-sorted before packing — no surprise colour jumps mid-floor
- — Direct from quarry to plant to site, with no trader margin in between
How we make it
- 01
Blocks are graded for tight, even grain — open-grained stone will not take a full mirror polish.
- 02
Slabs are gang-sawn and calibrated to a uniform thickness.
- 03
The surface passes through a multi-head polishing line, stepping up through progressively finer abrasive grits.
- 04
A final buffing pass brings the gloss up, then each piece is inspected under raking light for swirl marks before packing.
Best for
Hotel lobbies, showrooms, reception areas, luxury residential interiors.
Where not to use it
Any wet or outdoor area — polished limestone becomes very slippery when wet.
Care and maintenance
Dry-mop daily and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Re-buff every few years in high-traffic zones to restore gloss.
Pricing
Polished Kota Stone sits at the upper end of the price band because of the extra machine passes and the higher grade of block required.
Common questions
Is Mirror Polish Kota Stone suitable for outdoor use?
It depends on the slip rating of the finish. Textured finishes such as natural, brushed, sandblasted and shot-blasted are the safest outdoors; high-gloss finishes should stay indoors.
What thicknesses are available?
20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm as standard, plus custom thickness on project orders.
